In the last 6 years I have had 2 battles with very aggressive cancers. Both times the doctors thought the treatment might not help me at all and at best would only buy me some time with my family.
In 1998 cancerous tumors on the back of my tongue required 10.5 hours of surgery and 6 weeks of extreme radiation. It cost me my voice box, the muscle that transfers food from mouth to throat, a nerve to my right shoulder, saliva glands, and effected the health of my teeth.
In 2001 a large cancerous lung tumor required 5 months of 3 drug chemotherapy. By the end of chemotherapy I could not even get out of my wheel chair without help. Two years of physical therapy have helped but I still have major balance problems.
The effects of the 2 cancers and the treatment mean that I have not been able to work for 6 years and the related costs of prescriptions, doctors, therapy, and specialized food (needed to get nourishment to survive), have entirely wiped out my savings and built up significant debt. Because of this, I am forced to do something that would make my father turn over in his grave - BEG FOR HELP - If you can help please do. If you can't help, at least think good thoughts for me.
